Ishvara Pranidhana in life
We like control. We like to have control of ourselves and sometimes control of others. We have this idea that we know what is best for everyone, but do we? What if we allowed everyone to live their own life on their own terms? What if we just accepted ourselves and others? Would we be happier?
We struggle with “monkey mind.” The thoughts and ideas keep circling and swirling, so we may find it hard to let go. We are so focused on what is next, we sometimes miss what is right now.
Ever have one of those days that seems like you were crazy busy, but when you finally have a moment to sit and think, you are completely exhausted, but you aren’t sure where the day went or what you did?
Maybe we need to surrender our ego. Maybe we need to let go of outcomes (the fruits of our labors). Maybe we need to let go of insecurities, doubts, fears, habits, thoughts, and judgements.
What is the cause of your suffering? What can you surrender to find joy?
Next time, final thoughts on Ishvara Pranidhana.
